Fundraising Miracles

We would like to share some of the miracles God is doing to send us to the unreached. So many loved ones are a part of this, and we thank you each one!

First, as we downsized for the move, God sold our stuff—often for more than we paid for it. Then our credit card company had an error and didn’t charge us for a major purchase.

God gave us a furnished house for free while we were fundraising full time. The owner didn’t know how long she would need us to house sit, but she ended up moving out just before we needed a place, and she moved back in within weeks after we left for summer training.

We were assigned to visit a church in Idaho that called AFM out of the blue asking for missionaries to support. They treated us like family though we didn’t know a soul there.

Our car broke down while we were on our way to meet dear friends. They sent us to the dealership to get everything fixed, including new oil and a battery. We felt like royalty.

A vocalist from Walla Walla, Washington, and a church in Oregon each organized a benefit concert for us in April. A church company with fewer than 10 members pledged the same amount as a much larger church had pledged. Two families told us they had canceled their cable TV subscriptions and pledged to our project. One little girl who heard our stories is cutting out our articles and putting them on her wall. We even have a family raising sheep to sponsor us, and they named three lambs Cami, Bo and Dia.

One donor gave the 10 percent of our funding necessary to get us into the Adventist Frontiers magazine. Donors often tell us their gift was much larger than expected because God gave them more to give. In grocery stores, strangers have given us $100 several times. Our first article was published in February, and we were fully funded by mid-April.

AFM is a donation-only, faith-based ministry. That means we rely totally on God. Who better to rely on?
