Healing Spaces

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Psalm 91:4)

Recently, Teacher Ming attended two separate multi-day events on trauma healing hosted by the Christian Counseling Association of Thailand. The first meeting she attended focused on helping attendees begin to understand what trauma is and how to find healing and hope. The second meeting she attended was a workshop to train facilitators to form trauma healing groups in churches and communities.

Teacher Ming said this about her experience:

“I was really happy to attend these programs and to meet other brothers and sisters in Christ from different churches and backgrounds who have all been wounded by something or someone. These events were safe places for us to express ourselves without judgment. I have learned the importance of creating safe places and being a safe person so others can heal. I learned how to be a good listener and ask useful questions. It was a really practical program, and I feel I have a much better understanding of trauma and how to heal.”

Please pray for Teacher Ming and her potential impact in incorporating what she has learned about trauma healing in planting spiritual family groups across our region. We invite you to partner with us to bring a message of healing and hope in Jesus to the Isan Thai people by making a donation or pledging support. We believe that with your help, many families here in Thailand will be transformed and learn to delight in healthy relationships as God intended.
