Jungle Telegraph

The soft twittering of song birds punctuated by the raucous calls of a hornbill is suddenly interrupted by the sound of a signal drum. Boing, boing, BOING-boing, the garamut drum sends its message from village to village through the early morning mists of the jungle. This type of slit drum has been used for hundreds of years as a form of long-distance communication.

We are enjoying learning all we can about the area where we will be serving. We look forward to the time when these drums will announce our arrival.

We know that God has an awesome plan for the Ama people, and that Satan is doing his worst to keep the Ama in spiritual darkness. This month, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus here on earth, let us remember that there are still many people who don’t know His story.

Is God calling you to join our group of faithful monthly supporters? We pray God’s blessings on each of you during the coming year.
