Send Me

“Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water” (Rev. 14:6, 7 NKJV).

As you read this, summer training is behind us, and the thirteen volunteer missionary candidates are in the midst of final preparations to launch to our various projects. We have grown close to each other over the past 12 weeks. We have prayed together, studied together, cried together, and together committed our lives to taking the gospel message to every person willing to hear and believe.

Our training has taught us many things, not the least of which is that the work is far too great for any of us to accomplish on our own or even as a group. We need the prayers of each of our donors and church families to hold us up. And more than anything we need the Holy Spirit to go before us to prepare the way. After all, this is God’s work, not ours, and He has said that He will cut it short in righteousness.

Soon there will be another 13 AFM missionaries working in the world field to spread the gospel message, but what is that compared to the work that needs to be done? We need hundreds more. Perhaps you are feeling the Holy Spirit prompting you to surrender and go as a missionary to a people who will be lost unless you tell them. Why not say, “Yes Lord, send me.”
