The Spirit’s Stirring

“Grace! Grace unto it!” is our victory song to Jesus (Zech. 4:7). Praise the Lord, we have seen our little cloud arising out of the sea, indicating that our prayer is answered. All of the monthly pledges will be in, and we will soon be on our way to the Philippines!

On Sabbath, Sept. 30, we were visiting a church in Virginia. They were taking prayer requests, and I shared how God had blessed us, and that we only needed $302 to finish our monthly goal. Our little cloud rose when, after church, someone came up to us and said, “Don’t worry about the $302.” Like it says in Zechariah, it has not been by might or by power, but by God’s Holy Spirit stirring people with a desire to share the gospel with the unreached (Zech. 4:6).

We praise the Lord that we have seen His hand at work all along our fundraising journey. At the beginning as I was working at the hospital, He moved on one of my patients to give $1,000! Then He stirred up our home church to give $2,000. Later we were at another church sharing our prayer requests, and He led someone to give $20,000. The Holy Spirit touched someone else’s heart to dedicate their land to His work. God worked miraculously to sell it for them, and they gave the proceeds to reach the lost in Palawan.

There are many more stories I could tell of God’s mighty work through His Spirit. We are so thankful that His work includes stirring up other saints to faithfully give five dollars a month as well! Thank you all so much for your love, prayers and support to Jesus for the Palawano. You are in our prayers.
