What a God We Serve!

What a God we serve! After our visa miracle (May 2006 AF), the Lord kept working wonders. We were planning to have our medical exams in Africa. While the $400 it would cost was many times cheaper than what we’d have to pay in the States, it was still unaffordable for us. This was the first medical examination either Elmire or I had ever had, and it involved about 11 different tests.

Our doctor confessed that, in his 12 years of practice, only one other person had ever requested such a thorough medical exam. He went on to say that he thought our organization was being too demanding.

But our wonderful God had foreseen our need. We were moved five months early from Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso where we’d been leaving for the past three and half years, to Bobo-dioulasso the second largest city in the country. In Bobo-dioulasso, there was an excellent medical research center. An Adventist sister worked there, and her position allowed her to make arrangements for us to have our exams there free of charge. We only paid about $80 for two tests we had to do elsewhere.

Again, our Lord had tangibly assured us that He cares not only for us but for AFM and the funds its supporters donate. Glory be to His name! This was another side of the beginning of the exciting experience of fundraising we are having in the States. Will you consider becoming one of our monthly supporters? May God bless you!
