About Us

Our Mission

Adventist Frontier Missions Society (AFMS) establishes indigenous Seventh-day Adventist church-planting movements among unreached people groups.

Our Vision

To reach the unreached in this generation.

Our Core Values

Reliance

*We depend on God for our calling, empowerment and resources.
*

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Prov. 3:5, 6).

Our employees are called by God to reach the unreached. His Holy Spirit equips us (ordinary people) for our unique role in the great controversy between Christ and Satan. God entrusts us with His resources and provides for all our needs.

Integrity

*We live by a code of honesty and truth to achieve enduring results.
*

“He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; his place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; bread will be given him, his water will be sure.” (Isa. 33:15, 16).

As stewards of God’s resources, we nurture a spirit of openness and accuracy in all our conversations, communications and financial reporting. We present Biblical truth with cultural sensitivity using evangelistic methods that are reproducible and sustainable by the people being served. We embrace the incarnational ministry model Christ demonstrated in order to achieve self-sustaining church-planting movements among unreached people groups.

Humility

We nurture dependent vulnerability in our relationships.

_
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”_ (Micah 6:8).

At AFMS, we respect the dignity, uniqueness and intrinsic worth of every person. This includes the unreached, AFMS employees and our supporters. We acknowledge that no one person can see the whole picture, and while we may be experts in our areas of responsibility, we seek and value advice and counsel from God, each other, and those to whom we are responsible. We choose to be responsible for our actions and value the guidance and help of our peers and leaders. Finally, we seek to encourage each other, making decisions that build up the emotional, spiritual and intellectual capacity of fellow team members in order to succeed.

Teamwork

*We work together with the Adventist Church, donors and each other to reach the unreached.
*

“Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 15:5, 6).

As Seventh-day Adventist Christians, we seek to work in harmonious cooperation with the Adventist Church and its leadership as well as other organizations to advance the kingdom of God. We understand the value and challenge of working in teams, and we are willing to pay the price both personally and corporately to build high-functioning, effective and joy-filled working relationships. We celebrate results together because we understand that reaching the unreached in this generation can only be accomplished when we all work together.

Transparency

We communicate with clarity and candor.

_
“Therefore, putting away lying, ‘Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,’ for we are members of one another”_ (Eph. 4:25).

We foster a culture of openness by communicating pertinent information to everyone within AFMS. We are not afraid to speak with complete transparency, (protecting sensitive or confidential information as needed), knowing that doing so builds trust. We are committed to facing our fears and addressing points of interpersonal conflict with kindness and respect.
