My name is Lily Miller. I am twelve years old and in the sixth grade. I have been a missionary since I was five years old. My family and I are currently serving in Mali, Africa.
During this past year, my relationship with Jesus has really grown. Before, I cared more about worldly things. But this year, God was convicting me of my sins, and my conscience was heavily burdened. I wanted to put away all of my earthly desires. I also wanted to start obeying my parents more and not argue with them or my brother. I have also taken my schoolwork more seriously. In July 2023, I prayed to Jesus and gave my life and heart to Him. God has shown me that He loves me and cares for my happiness. I want my whole life and heart to be clean. l want to follow Him and make Him the Lord of my life.
I have prayed a lot about attending the International Pathfinder Camporee in August 2024 in Gillette, Wyoming. God has opened the door for my family and me to go when we thought it was impossible. I praise God. He has answered my prayers and made a way. Lord willing, I plan to get baptized during the camporee. To prepare for baptism, each week on Zoom, I have been studying the Bible with my Uncle Jared Miller, who also plans to attend the camporee.
One meaningful experience occurred when my grandma visited us here (in Kangaba). She was impressed by the Holy Spirit to give out Bibles and hymnals to those who had none. I was really blessed to help her distribute them to the people. God can also use you to bless the people around you. Surrender your life now and follow God wherever He leads.
