Berrien Springs, MI – May 19, 2025 — Adventist Frontier Missions (AFM) is pleased to announce that Brad Mills has accepted the call to serve as president of the organization beginning August 1, 2025, following a comprehensive international search process. Brad brings with him a rich tapestry of global experience, spiritual leadership, and a deep commitment to cross-cultural mission work that aligns powerfully with AFM’s vision of reaching the unreached.
Brad and his wife, Lina, along with their two sons, Levi and Lucas, have served in a wide range of mission contexts, from the Amazon basin in South America to a bustling metropolis in a North African country. With nearly two decades of international experience in both nonprofit administration and mission-driven leadership, Brad’s diverse background uniquely positions him to guide AFM into its next chapter of service and growth.
Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic, Brad has demonstrated a rare ability to connect across cultures and lead with empathy and clarity. He holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. His theological training includes a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University and two mission diplomas from the Institute of World Missions.
Brad’s previous roles have included leadership positions with the Middle East and North Africa Union, Northwest Brazil Union, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), and several Urban Centers of Influence. He has served as a professor, church planter, nonprofit director, and mission strategist—always with a heart for service and a calling to uplift and disciple communities through Christ-centered initiatives.
Brad’s life and ministry reflect a deep love for Jesus and a dedication to mission that resonates with AFM’s core values. We are truly blessed to have him join the team.
The Board is currently coordinating with the Mills family to finalize transition details for their formal start in August. Brad and Lina have expressed excitement about joining the AFM family and continuing their journey of sharing God’s love among unreached people groups around the world.
“I count it such a privilege and honor to be able to dedicate my life to God’s kingdom and humbly pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as I embark on this new challenge. It is a great responsibility to join AFM during these last days of earth’s history,” said Brad Mills.
For nearly 40 years, Adventist Frontier Missions has been committed to pioneering the gospel among people groups with no Adventist presence. With Brad Mills at the helm, AFM is poised to continue this sacred calling with renewed purpose and passion.
