We celebrate today the news of 27 baptisms at the Dendi Project in Benin, West Africa. More than 100 people were present! Our short-term missionary family (the Guenins) wrote to us about the event and also reported on the formal establishment of the main group as a recognized church in the local Field. Most of the baptisms came through a lay-worker who accepted Christ a couple of years ago, was baptized by Michée Badé, and has been trained in lay-outreach. His work bore beautiful fruit in a neighboring town. We are now seeking to construct a new church building to hold this rapidly growing congregation, so please keep that in your prayers.
Also, one of our student missionaries last year developed a close friendship and began Bible studies with a local Muslim gentleman who senses God’s calling on his heart. This year our STM family has continued those studies, and one of the professors in the school where they are teaching English was also baptized recently.
May God be praised for these stories of new life from Benin!
