“If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified” (1 Pet. 4:14).
ن In blood-red spray paint, this single Arabic letter, nūn, marks many walls and doors in Mosul, Northern Iraq. It is the first letter of the word Nasrani (Christian). In Mosul, it is a terrible letter—a curse and a promise by ISIS radicals to kill and plunder the marked.
But the ن symbol isn’t limited to Northern Iraq. In more subtle ways, it also marks the doorposts of every AFM missionary house in 19 countries around the world. On each missionaries’ heart and hands, the ن is plain for all to see. It punctuates their words and shines in their smiles. In 19 countries around the world, ن is a wonderful letter—a blessing and a promise of life abundant, now and forever.
ن Is it on you?
