Lead your Friends to the Savior

How many of us have actually been involved in leading someone into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ? I think the answer probably is: there could be more. Why aren’t more us involved in this precious, all-important task? Here are a few reasons:

1) We think: “I am afraid.” Alas, this is probably the main reason. We are afraid of being rejected. Remember, they are not rejecting you. You are giving them a chance to overcome their prejudices, even as Christ gives you victory over fear in your own life.

2) We believe: “That’s the pastor’s job.” Actually, it is our job. The idea that outreach is only the work of the minister comes from a non-Biblical system of worship. When we were born again through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we became part of the royal priesthood of God (I Peter 2:5, 9; Rev. 1:6).

3) We say: “I have not had the right training.” This may be true. Yet there are numerous training options available to teach you how to bring people to the Savior. And the Holy Spirit is always available.

Please consider learning how to lead future friends into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray about becoming a missionary with Adventist Frontier Missions. We will train and equip you for frontier mission service.

You may be in school. Think about taking a year off to go and serve among the unreached. You may be working and longing for a deeper experience with Christ and skill in reaching others. We would like to help you.

Please give us a call at 800.937.4236. You, too, can lead your friends to the Savior. Friends you have now, and friends you could have someday on the other side of the planet!
