Salim’s Dream

As shared with Abed Al-Masih, the following testimony comes from Salim, a seeker on the Dream Project website.

As I found myself adrift in a small boat in the vast expanse of the sea, I could feel the weight of uncertainty in my heart. The waves roared, crashing against the fragile vessel, threatening to engulf me in their turmoil. Fear wrapped its cold fingers around my soul as I clung to the boat’s sides, desperate for something or someone to rescue me from this tempest.

Amid the storm, with rain pouring down and wind howling, I lost my grip and dove into the churning waters. Panic consumed me as I struggled to stay afloat as the relentless waves pushed me down, and I felt myself sinking deeper into the abyss.

When I thought all hope was lost, a radiant light pierced the underwater darkness. The hand of a man clothed in white reached out to me, and I instinctively grabbed hold of it. When our hands touched, an overwhelming sense of peace and serenity washed over me. The fear subsided, replaced by a profound assurance that everything would be all right.

As I was pulled up from the depths, I looked into the face of the One who saved me, and I knew without a doubt that it was Prophet Isa (His peace be upon us). His compassionate eyes met mine, and that gaze made me feel understood and deeply loved. He spoke tenderly, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.”

All my doubts, worries, and fears melted away in His presence. I could sense an indescribable aura of divinity surrounding Him. It was as though I was in the presence of the embodiment of peace and salvation. Prophet Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) held me close, like a caring father holding his child, and I knew He was saving me from the stormy waters and rescuing me from the storms within my heart and soul.

As we stood on the water, challenging the natural laws, He spoke gently, “Follow and trust Me, for I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I AM the one who can save you from the storms of life and lead you to the eternal shores of peace and salvation.”

His words and the presence of such love overwhelmed my heart. I knew I wanted to follow Him in that moment of crisis and for the rest of my life. I understood that the storms of life might still come, but with Him by my side, I could face anything, knowing that I was never alone.

As the dream began to fade, I felt myself waking up, and tears of gratitude filled my eyes. Though it was just a dream, the spiritual encounter felt so real, so vivid, as if I had truly experienced a profound moment with the Prophet Isa (His peace be upon us).

From that day forward, my life changed. I embraced His teachings of love, compassion, and forgiveness. I sought to follow His path and share His message with others, just as He had saved me from the turbulent seas of despair.

Though the memory of that dream eventually became a distant echo, the transformation it sparked within me remained. In moments of uncertainty or fear, I would remember the outstretched hand and the gentle voice that saved me, and my heart would fill with renewed faith and hope. In that dream, I discovered the eternal truth that no matter how fierce the storms of life may be, the hand of divine love is always there, ready to pull us to safety if we choose to take hold of it and follow its guiding light.
