I walked alongside two of my closest friends in a dream that felt like a blend of reality and magic. One friend was committed to following Jesus, and the other to being a Muslim. Our talks were like fireworks — bright, loud and full of passion. We argued about believing in God, which religion is right, and salvation. My Christian friend’s attitude was biblical, “Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters” (Romans 14:1).
Our journey led us to a remarkable bridge — as if it held the key to something important. There stood a figure, tall and strong, who seemed to glow with extraordinary light. It was Jesus, dressed in a shining white robe and holding a sword sparkling with power and goodness.
The first friend, who loved Jesus, confidently stepped onto the bridge like he knew exactly where he was going. I thought about a line from the Bible that my friend told me before, where Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). The bridge seemed to be built just for those who believe in Prophet Isa (Jesus), in response to their firm belief.
Then it was my turn. Facing the glowing figure of Jesus, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. With a voice that shook a little but felt strong, I told Prophet Isa that I believed in Him and His teachings. It felt like when the Bible says, “If you say with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Step by step, the bridge seemed to echo my words, supporting my choice.
My dear Muslim friend stood, hesitant. Despite the bridge’s attraction and the prophetic guide’s presence, skepticism made him powerless. His heart was confused with doubt. The weight of disbelief anchored him to the shore, preventing him from entering this spiritual journey. He chose not to cross the bridge. My Muslim friend was lost in the world and could not make it.
It was like a real-life version of the Quranic verse that says, “There is no force in religion” (Al-Baqara 2:256). Their choices showed that everyone can choose according to their beliefs.
Jesus, adorned in white and wielding the sword of righteousness, is depicted as a messenger of salvation and divine love. His presence at the bridge emphasized the transformative power of faith in bridging from earthly understanding to divine truth, critical to eternal life.
This dream illustrated the biblical truth that salvation is secured through faith in Christ and individual conviction. It showed how our choices are like footsteps on a bridge to something bigger, our beliefs shaping our paths. We all stand at these bridges, where our beliefs and choices come together.
