Career Missionary since 2018, serving the Sinim people of Southeast Asia. Previously served as a short-term Missionary from 2014-2015 with the Tai-Kadai people of Southeast Asia.

For years I had wondered if God was calling me to overseas missions. I had always felt a burden to serve the Sinim people, being a Sinim myself, but had set aside the thought as I was enjoying my ministry with Voice of Prophecy. That was until I read the following quote: “No one has the right to hear the gospel twice, while there remains someone who has not heard it once.” This convicted me. There were billions of people who had never heard of Jesus, and I wasn’t actively doing anything to change it. However, my circumstances at the time made it seem impossible for me to go, so I simply prayed, “God, You know what’s on my heart. If You are calling me overseas, You are going to have to open the door.” From then on, God slowly began to work and move in situations, making it clearer and clearer that He was certainly calling me overseas.

Taking courage in my conviction, I quit my job and went forward to serve a year at the AFM Tai-Kadai Project. In the middle of my term, AFM approached me and told me they had been praying about beginning a project among the Sinim and wanted to know if I would be interested. I knew it was not mere coincidence but clear providence.

I believe the time is soon coming that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea,” and I want to do what I can to be a part of it. God is opening doors in places that have been difficult to reach. Now is the time to go where there has been a dearth of laborers and begin the work of raising up disciple-making movements.
