Michée Badé

Career Missionary since 2006, serving the Dendi people of Northern Benin. Now serving the Set Free In Christ Project.

Originally from Côte d’Ivoire, Dr. Michée B. Badé is an ordained minister who has served as a frontline worker for Adventist Frontier Missions for 16 years in West Africa and North Africa. Michée served together with his wife Elmire and two children, Eliora and Elie-Dana, helping to raise church-planting movements in both regions. He holds a BA in Theology from Andrews University and an MA in Missiology and a Ph.D. in Missiology from the University of the Free State in South Africa, where he is a research fellow. He currently serves as director for the Set Free In Christ Institute, operated by AFM.

Vindication

Many people blamed my actions for the mysterious leg malady my friend, Nassirou, suffered. When the camera was stolen, it confirmed in their minds that I was under spiritual punishment.

Leaning on the Lord

Most missionaries will confess that their work has profoundly changed them. They will also humbly admit that the load, at times, seems oppressive, and the stress of church planting sometimes brings them near the breaking point.

Bandits

As they marched us back to join the main group of bandits and victims, we prayed aloud and sang songs. This made the bandits more violent.

Karim

Karim was among the first people I met in Kandi when I visited the mayor’s office. He is devoted to Islam, but he showed great openness to spiritual matters, inviting me into discussion. At first I thought he was interested only in confrontation, but I was wrong.
