A Note from Reuben

Hi, I’m Booben! Sometimes I say “Reuben,” but Booben is still easier for me to say. I like trains. I like bridges, too. We drive under a train bridge on the way to Sabbath School.

Guess what! I’m a big brother. I’m a nice big brother. My grandma taught me to say that. My little sister’s name is Kaia Renée. She is so little, and she cries a lot. Daddy says I used to cry a lot, but I don’t think I did. Even though she cries, I’m happy to have a little sister. I smiled when I first saw her. I like to hold her and give her hugs.

Kaia used to be in Mommy’s tummy. Mommy and Daddy told me a baby was inside. I didn’t know what that meant. Now I understand. I like having a little sister. She is so cute! You should see her sometime. I gave her a pink teddy bear after she was born. I think she liked it. I like knowing what Kaia is up to, so every five minutes I ask Mommy, “Baby doing?”

Mommy and Daddy keep telling me about moving to Africa soon. I don’t really understand that, but I suppose it will be good, too. My aunt Ingi showed me a book with pictures from Benin. I have some friends from Africa, and I like them. I think I will have more friends when we live in Africa, and we will have fun when we play. I hope there are some trains and bridges in Africa. I think Kaia will like living in Africa, too.
