Compassion

Looking back on our time at Amazing Facts College of Evangelism, I’m convinced that one of the most important things we gained was a new and different kind of love and compassion for others. This kind of love isn’t natural to us humans, it’s from God alone. It’s the kind of love that loves the unlovely, those who reject us and despise us, those who don’t appreciate our efforts to help them. I praise God for answering our prayers for this divine kind of love and our prayers for direction to people He wanted us to meet. More than once, people told us, “God sent you here to my door in answer to my prayer.” Wow! What privilege to be used by God to answer someone’s prayer! So, do we feel qualified for God’s work now? No, but I wonder if we ever should. I pray that we will always see our great need for Jesus and put our confidence in Him, not ourselves (Phil. 1:6).

We’re so excited that we can work together as a family team to bring the light of the gospel to those who are in darkness. What part of the team is God calling you to be? We need prayer warriors and monthly supporters. Could you be the answer to someone’s prayer?
