Emotions can be positive or negative – happiness, compassion, love, sadness, anger, distress. They can be conscious or subconscious. Sometimes events that happened long ago still affects us today. This last week we were learning how to deal with our feelings. As we studied the Bible we read about some of the emotions that Jesus had. John 11:33-35 says that Jesus wept when He came to where Lazarus was buried. In Mark 10:14 He was indignant when the disciples tried to stop the children from getting closer to the Him. Also in Mark 1:41 Jesus was filled with compassion for the leprous man who approached Him. He was full of joy when the 72 disciples came back from their mission trip and described how the mission went (Luke 10:21). One of the Bible verse that gives me joy is found in Revelation 21:4 where the new Jerusalem is described: “He (Jesus) will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or morning or crying or pain, for the old order of things had passed away”. I’m looking forward to going to this place and would like to bring many people to live with Jesus there. I would like to invite you to come also.
