Furlough Review

The time has come for us to return to Benin. God has bestowed on us many, many blessings. Through generous donations from many of you, He has provided the money we need to return to our ministry in Benin. May God bless you all.

This furlough has been a time of much travel. This was Fidel’s first visit to the U.S., and he got to see a lot of it. It started off with a road trip with family from Michigan to Oregon for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and then back to Michigan. Then back to Oregon, and from there to Texas for General Conference and to speak at a couple of churches. Then on to Oregon camp meeting where we met many of you. From there we went to Washington where we helped with the AFM booth at the ASI meetings in Spokane. We also visited friends in Cashmere. Then we took the scenic route down to College Place where we gave a presentation and visited many people, stopping on the way to visit Palouse Falls. Then we went back to my parents’ house where we spent two weeks before heading to Tennessee for training on how to run a small printing business—skills we plan to use to print materials in Benin. We will tell you more about that later.

All in all, we had a very full furlough with lots of traveling and many happy meetings with friends, family and supporters. It is always great to put faces with all those names. Thank you all very much for your support and your many prayers for our mission and for us. May God richly bless you!
