“You need to find someone in Greenland to invite you if you want to go for a visit there,” the immigration department here in Denmark offered while helping us determine which documents would allow us entry into Greenland during our March 2024 vision trip.

Nearly ten months ago, I was on a train from Copenhagen when I saw a colleague near me. We struck up a conversation, and I started telling him about our desire to go to Greenland. “I have a friend there,” my colleague said. “If you would like to visit Greenland, I will send him a note and let him know. In fact, he manages a hotel there in Nuuk, and you can even stay there if you so wish.” He also gave me his friend’s contact information, and I wrote to say hello.

In March, when we learned that we needed an invitation from someone living in Greenland to enter, we wrote to my colleague’s friend, who promptly sent a letter and offered us accommodation at his hotel. Our visas were issued.

Ten months ago, God connected us to this hotel manager through my friend when He foresaw our need for a vision trip to Greenland to search for a place to call home and use as a community center. God knows the way we take and prepares our way even before our journey has begun. “Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24).

Our hearts are always warmed by His repeated confirmations of our calling to Greenland. Soon, we will let you know the results of our property search. In the meantime, please continue to pray for the success of our project. We welcome you to join us in this mission.
