Today in twelve days God willingly I fly out to Guinea…
It was a struggle with many problems to get my visa… but in the end God came through and my visa is in my passport!
Thank you Fred and Isatta for the help with the letters and the prayers…
Thank you Drika you were a real friend in need while battling the visa problem with me…
Thank you to everyone who made it possible financially for me to go
But most of all thank You Father for once more coming through for me.
It is with a mixed feelings that I am typing…our little baby girl…Laurika was born on the 12th June and she has stolen my heart completely… it is with sadness that I realize she will give her first steps without me being there…
It is also with fear…and I praise God for this emotion…because without fear my sense of dependence on God would be feeble as I go into the unknown…
Leaving loved ones behind when going to the mission field is never easy but it is with a thankful heart that I praise God…because I know I can place each one of them in His care knowing that He will be there for them every minute of the day and night…
Please pray for me as I begin on 17 June at 14H20 the long trip of thirty one hours to Guinea…
God willingly the next time I blog it will be from Guinea…
Without a doubt God is Good…IN HIM…He takes us far above what we expect…or what we can dream to be

Hi Laurie,
Sorry that I didn’t call before you left but we are so busy at the moment. I realized this morning, (18/6/14) that you are in transit so my prayers are with you as you travel. God is faithful ad I know He will keep you. Congrats on the new baby grandchild.
We will be praying for you. We move in a week and a half, so very busy *****ng and also trying to get our training complete.
Blessings from Rodica, mom and me.
Dean
