“This I recall to mind and therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord” (Lam. 3:21, 22, 25, 26).
I find it helpful sometimes to look back over my life. Looking back helps me see clearly just how the Lord has led and guided me. I see times that I have rebelled against His leading, and I see the sorrows and consequences that resulted from those rebellions. I see times of sadness and how the Lord drew near and comforted me. I see adventures, fun and joy and how, through every laugh and tear, God has been right beside me.
I am so thankful for the Lord and for the gift of memories and reflection. I am blessed when I look back and see just how God has been with me every step of my life. By looking back and seeing the evidence of His leading, I can look forward with faith. I can look forward and see a people movement of the Northern Khmer to accept Christ and spread their love for Christ within their people group and beyond. I see unreached people groups being touched by the missionaries who come to minister to them and turning from false beliefs to faith in the only true God. I see every nation, tribe, tongue and people receiving opportunities to accept Christ as their Savior. I look forward in faith to Jesus returning in the clouds for His people who are working and waiting for Him.
Please pray that the Northern Khmer will have open hearts to receive Christ and share their faith with those around them. Please pray for our partners, Chris and Shannon Sorensen and their children, as they witness among the Northern Khmer. Please pray for us as we prepare to join them, and please consider joining our monthly support team.
