“What will you do if your house doesn’t sell?” We have been asked this question more than once. Our house has been on the market since February of this year. We still owe a lot of money on it, therefore it must be sold before we go to the mission field. The housing market is the softest it’s been for a long time. We’ve been told that, nationally, there are eleven houses for sale for every buyer.
Faith being the substance of things not seen doesn’t mean that we know exactly how God will work out the details, but we are assured that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28).
If I were to ask you, “What if the sun doesn’t come up tomorrow?” what would you say? Of course, you would expect to see daylight following a night of darkness. We may not know ahead of time whether the sky will be clear or cloudy, but daylight comes nevertheless. Faith is knowing that daylight will come.
Thank you for your prayers that our house will sell at the right time. By the time you read this, we will either be launched or very close to launching on our mission. Stay tuned for more updates.
