I Love Camp Meeting!

My enthusiasm overflows — I love camp meeting! At the 2024 Michigan Camp Meeting, I was especially blessed by so many meaningful connections and ministry opportunities. It was the first camp meeting I attended as a volunteer missionary candidate to the Ama and the last I had the privilege of serving as a pastor with the Michigan Conference.

Since 2014, when I was a seminary student and first volunteered at the Michigan Camp Meeting, I have helped on the audiovisual team, continuing that practice since becoming a pastor in 2015. This year, I ran a camera for the main meetings, seeing and hearing powerful messages. I also enjoyed stopping by the AFM booth and sharing material about the Ama project. The impact of that one booth may never be fully known until heaven. It was just a year ago at that booth that I wrote down my name and email to learn more. This later led to my acceptance of the call to reach the unreached!

I have loved serving in Michigan as a pastor. It was my dream come true and the specific answer to my prayers. But God is leading me to follow Him into the foreign mission field, and I am happy to go wherever He leads. This year, one of the pastors asked me to share at the teen tent about my call into mission service, and in sharing my testimony, the Holy Spirit blessed me with positive responses from the young people.

Camp meeting provided a wonderful opportunity to meet people who are partnering in the mission to reach the Ama, as well as others who would like to join the team. Thank you for your partnership through your friendship, prayers and gifts!
