My dictionary’s definition of a fray is a fight, brawl, war or battle; or to wear out or a worn spot. None of these definitions imply comfort to me, but God takes AFM missionaries beyond their comfort zones into the fray.
It seems that ever since Diane and I decided to be missionaries, we have been on the frontlines of a fray. We don’t know what will happen in the fray we are entering, but we know that being where God wants us to be is the safest place.
Esther saw her need of God and told the Jews to fast and pray with her and her maids. She willingly risked her life by entering the fray, saying “if I perish, I perish.” Diane and I want to be at the place of total commitment to doing God’s will no matter how frayed the ropes we are climbing or how hot the battle. The Lord is showing us through His Word that we can be assured that if He is with us in the fray, who can be against us? Praise the Lord!
Will you join us in this battle through your financial support and prayers?
