I’ve Got This

“Lord, where is all this money going to come from for us to go to Papua New Guinea?” I prayed. It was four days after our return home from AFM orientation, and I was starting to realize that we had quite a road ahead of us. Instantly Philippians 4:19 flashed into my mind: “But my God shall supply all your need . . .” I got my Bible out and underlined the promise. Then, like great heroes of faith I had read about, I pointed to the verse and claimed it. It was up to the Lord to supply this need!

Four hours later, I wheeled our trash can to the end of the driveway and then walked over to check our mailbox. Inside, along with the resident spiders, I found only one envelope, and it was from Three Angels Broadcasting Network. At first I thought it must be promotional material, but I noticed that our address had been handwritten, and it was addressed to Midori. So, standing at the end of my driveway I opened the envelope and couldn’t believe my eyes. It said we would be getting a check for $7,500! I had to read the letter again. Midori’s grandmother had recently passed away at the age of 103, and a trust she had with 3ABN was being settled. I stood there in shock. I seemed to hear God saying, “Stand back. I’ve got this thing under control.”

Please keep us in prayer as we seek God’s guidance in raising up a support team to reach the Gogodala people for Jesus.
