“Wahoo!” we yelled as we started jumping around the room after reading the email that had just appeared in our inbox. It was the final pledge we needed to reach our monthly goal and open the way for us to launch! Excitement soon turned into praise as we reflected on how God had come through for us again. Just a few months earlier, we had asked Him for what seemed like the impossible—to help us launch by the end of the year. The months that followed were an emotional roller coaster as we reached new heights of excitement as pledge after pledge and donation after donation brought us closer to our goals, only to be followed by what seemed like weeks without any progress at all. But God did it, and nothing could stop us from celebrating!

As we continue to reflect on the last few months, our thoughts turn from celebration and praise to humility. We are humbled by many of you who have joined us along the way and given of your time, prayers, financial resources (some of you anonymously), and even your own homes and beds. What a huge blessing you have been and continue to be to us!

When you read this article, we will be in the field. Knowing that we are part of a team who will be supporting and praying for us will continue to make all the difference.

Now, with eager anticipation we turn to the next chapter in our journey to reach the Great River People for Christ.
