Hurricane Irma was a great reminder of our blessed hope in Jesus’ soon coming. As Christians, we believe in God’s soon return, but sometimes it can be easy to lose this focus and get caught up on our daily responsibilities. When Irma came, my family and I evacuated from our Florida home. We were reminded that nothing in this world is more important than family and their safety and salvation. We have a greater family we need to help prepare for a greater evacuation that is coming soon, when Jesus takes us to our eternal home. We need to help our brothers and sisters around us and around the world to be ready. My family and I have been called to Ireland to share the message of salvation and reconciliation. Please join us in prayer and support as we prepare for Ireland.
In case you’re wondering, Hurricane Irma’s path shifted a bit, and our home was spared any damage.
“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:23).
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).
