Manual for Thai Buddhists Completed

After long and hard work over the past year and a half, the AFM manual for introducing Christianity to Thai Buddhists is done!

When I was living and ministering in Thailand, I saw that many Thai people found Christianity difficult to understand and not very relevant to their lives. I began grappling with the question of how to share the gospel with Thai Buddhists. In this manual, my hope is that missionaries and lay gospel workers will find a tool to invite Thai people to encounter the gospel in ways that are more meaningful and understandable to them.

In March 2018 I returned to Thailand to give a three-day training on the manual to AFM missionaries and representatives of the Thai SDA mission and the Adventist university in Thailand. The manual and the training were well received. After the training, I spent a few more months editing the manuscript. Now it is really done and being used in the field by missionaries in Thailand. The manual will soon be translated into Thai and will continue to be refined as it is used over time. It has already been used in teaching on the university level, and mission workers from a variety of organizations have shown interest in using it.

I am so grateful to have completed this writing. If you are interested in reading the manual, please visit http://afmonline.org/resources/reaching-buddhists.

Thank you all again for your support over the last few years. This will be my last article in Adventist Frontiers. As I move into the next chapters of my life in the Netherlands, I give my warmest greetings and blessings to you all.
