Life is happening so fast! Just a few weeks ago, during Philip’s devotional time, he prayed that God would confirm our call to Cambodia. Right after that our landlord came over and informed us that he was putting our house on the market. We had not shared with him our plans to leave, so he was quite surprised and relieved when Philip told him.

That same morning during Hope’s devotional time, all of the verses she turned to in the Bible said the same things—to leave houses, land and family for Jesus’ sake and take up your cross and following Him. She even read the one about not being like Lot’s wife and looking back. As text after text jumped out at her, she asked, “Lord, are You trying to tell me something?” Right after she asked this question, the landlord came by, and she could hear his conversation with Philip out the window. In her heart she felt they would be moving sooner than expected. So it was no surprise when the house sold as soon as it was put on the market! It was as if God was saying, “You are headed in the right direction. Don’t look back. In fact, I’m taking your house just to seal the deal!” Strange, the things that can bring comfort and assurance!

So we have been busy sorting and selling our belongings. As of November 2, we will be staying in a very nice travel trailer that belongs to some of our friends. We will be in New Zealand doing some fundraising until the end of February, and then we will head to the States. We aim to see as many of you as possible!

Time is short, friends! We are praying that God holds back the winds of strife so that the gospel can go to every nation, tribe, tongue and people. God has placed the Great River People on our hearts. They are His beloved children, and He feels their every heartache. He knows their souls’ longing for real meaning in life. We are eager to get back to them as soon as possible! We are hoping and praying to be able to raise our funds in time to launch in the fall of 2016. For this to happen, we need a miracle (made up of many small miracles)! In order to attend summer training, we need to have 60% of our launching goal and within $1,500 of our monthly goal raised before April. With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible! A big huge THANK YOU to those of you who have contributed already!

There are three ways you can help:

1. Prayer is by far the most important! We need your consistent prayers as we launch into enemy-held territory. We believe the battle is waged on our knees. We need an army of prayer warriors!

2. The best way to help us financially is to become monthly supporters, providing the monthly funding we need to keep the project running. When you sign up to be a monthly supporter, this can also help with our launching goal! How? The monthly amount that you contribute before we launch will all go into the launching goal. Even if you want to give one larger contribution per year, you can ask AFM to distribute it throughout the year as a monthly pledge.

3. You can help us with the expense of getting into the field by contributing to our launching goal.

There are several ways to give. You can use the enclosed form to make either a gift at this time, a pledge, or, to save time and money, set up an automatic gift plan. This can be mailed to AFM, P.O. Box 286, Berrien Springs, MI 49103. Every AFM magazine contains one of these donor envelopes.

Another method is to click the “Give to this Project” button to the right. On the drop-down menu you have the option of giving a onetime gift or making a pledge by selecting “New Automatic Monthly Gift.”
