Missionary Counselors

As platinum missionaries, we stay very busy introducing the unreached to Christ and supporting the projects of our missionary families in Thailand. In 2022, we conducted Bible studies, participated in dedications (including house dedications), helped the Khon Kaen team open the new Peace Music Academy and SDA church, transitioned student and career missionaries onto our teams, and said farewell to the Tumbergs who taking on new roles with AFM.
Besides being blessed with this great work, God has also provided us with the opportunity to bring our years of emotional/relational, supportive, and biblical counseling experience to the missionary families serving with AFM and our friends in the communities. Missionary life—any life—can become weary and worn. Through God’s Word and His faithful guidance—plus our providing a listening ear or a stable and supportive environment—people have been refreshed with a new lease on life, taken their next step in their relationship with Christ, or continued with God’s mission call. As the Holy Spirit opens our hearts to them and their hearts to Him, we repeatedly witness God perform wonderful healing works in the lives of His precious children.
Through the Bible and many print and multimedia works of medical authorities, we have found three basic elements of restoration we would like you to consider:

1) Find a supportive, safe environment with a non-judgmental listening ear and encouragement to more deeply process unresolved emotional pain.

2) Spend significant time interacting with God’s word plus prayer that is guided and focused on individual needs.

3) Schedule a healthy balance of sleep, exercise in nature, and regularly eating a carefully-chosen menu of foods known to bring healing to the brain.

We are delighted to be here and would not want to be elsewhere. We strongly sense that this is where God has called us. Thank you for helping us minister here and for being part of our team. May God abundantly bless you and yours.
