Seven years ago, M’Po moved to our town of Natitingou. He was friends with two of the local church members, and they introduced him to me. M’Po loves to read, so he borrows many books from me and from other people. He always brings them back, which sets him apart from most people here.
Over the years, M’Po’s two Adventist friends helped draw him to Christ, though he did not join the Adventist Church. M’Po loves Jesus and has a heart for evangelism. He started a group here which he taught from Ellen White’s writings.
One day he was reading a book he had borrowed about the changing of Sabbath to Sunday. As he read, the Spirit of God convicted him of the truth. That evening he called me and told me he was now an Adventist. He was out of town visiting family, so I gave him directions to an Adventist church near him. That Sabbath, he went to his first Adventist church service and brought his sister, who continues to attend. M’Po has since returned to Natitingou and is continuing the work God has given him.
