A little over a year ago, a young couple started coming to the small church group in the village of Natiponi, in the Benin-Togo border region. One day when they were working in the fields, the husband was bit by a snake. Far from medical help, they spent the night in the field. During that night, they learned how to pray.

When they returned to the village the next day, the family wanted to take him to a traditional healer, but he refused. Our evangelists took him to the hospital instead. Soon, the church members arrived and prayed for him. They also prayed for all the other sick people in the room. When the church members went back to the hospital the next day, everybody had been healed and released!

Recently this couple, together with four other precious souls, was baptized in a muddy river. It was a very special Sabbath with about 80 guests who had accepted the invitation of the 12 church members. After the baptism, many guests expressed a desire to study the Bible. Now we face the joyful challenge of following up with all these interests. Please pray with us for a movement to start in the village of Natiponi.
