New Friends

The sun was setting as we got dinner ready. Hope looked out the front door and said, “Sawasdee kha!” (“Hello!”).

“Mommy, there are some girls on a motorcycle outside!” She ran back to the door, and she and Haven continued to call out, “Sawasdee kha!” The girls on the motorcycle turned around and drive away.

A little while later, they returned, look in our front sliding door from their motorcycle, and then they drove away again, too shy to come and greet us. This happened at least four times in a row. As we sat down and ate dinner, they continued driving around and looking in at us curiously.

Hope and Haven wanted to go outside and play with them, but it was getting late, so I told them, “There will be lots of other times to play with new friends.”

Our new neighborhood is full of kids, young and older. We’ve had quite a group come over to our house and play a few times. Hope and Haven are so happy to have new friends. We are so glad the Lord led us to a house where there are many kids our girls to play with and lots of neighbors for us to befriend.

Please pray for us as we develop friendships with our neighbors. Please pray for our neighbors, that their hearts will be open and receptive to the Holy Spirit. We pray that they will be interested in knowing about Jesus Christ, their Savior.
