No Turning Back

Reflecting on God’s workings in Kewa Village over the past year, I see evidence of increased interest in the Bible. Both professed Christians and non-church-goers have come to our Bible class and treasured the lessons. Many share them with their families and friends so that now, even some who hold high positions in another church want to join the next session of classes. Andrew, one of our most devoted students, told me more than once, “I have made up my mind. I will never go back to my old ways.” We praise God for these blessings.

However, Satan, the enemy of souls who stalks us like a lion, does not give up easily. Soon after leaving the village last week to fly to Port Moresby for supplies, we got a call from the village that something bad had happened to Andrew, and he wasn’t in his right mind. The symptoms described to me sounded like demonic attack. I don’t know Andrew’s history, but I do know that since deciding for Christ, he has experienced several trials.
Thank you for your prayers for Andrew and the rest of our class.
