I don’t think it was a coincidence that opportunity came knocking just one day after our team had special prayer for the youth of Thailand.

The Thai government’s department of religion and culture organizes provincial gatherings for students where representatives of different religions are invited to present what their beliefs have to offer youth. The stated purpose of these gatherings is to encourage respect and tolerance for different religions and to share values that will motivate Thai youth to uphold moral principles that are being eroded by a multitude of negative influences. This year, the government officials of a province adjacent to Khon Kaen contacted the Thailand Adventist Mission asking for Seventh-day Adventists to represent Protestants at the gathering.

It was exciting for Ricardo to participate and present along with Pastor Wanlop. As the work continues to develop in Khon Kaen, and as we connect with youth through a music school, we hope to have this type of opportunity in our province.—Alicia Palacios
