Our Neighbors

We long to be in Surin among the Northern Khmer. But, while Robbie studies Thai, we want to witness to our neighbors here, too.

Nan is a young lady who lives across the road from us with her two cousins, Sayuri and Ayumi. Nan is my age and recently married, but her husband is working in South Korea. Nan says they will see each other again in a year. Nan is a travel agent, and her two cousins are students at an international school.

Down the street lives nine-year-old Pearl and her mother. Pearl likes to come out and play with Hope when she hears the sound of Hope’s bicycle in the street. A few days ago, Pearl came over to our house to play. Her mother asked if I could watch her for the afternoon. Happy to help, I agreed. So Pearl stayed the afternoon, playing with Hope and Haven.

These are only a few of our neighbors. All of our neighbors are Buddhist and have no knowledge of salvation in Jesus. Please pray that we will be aware of opportunities to witness to our neighbors. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will prepare their hearts for when those opportunities come. On behalf of our neighbors, we thank you! —Kelli Doss
