P’Hom

I received an email a couple weeks ago from a lady named P’Hom. I hadn’t heard from her in more than a year. She is a Thai woman I became good friends with while in Surin, Thailand. The events that led up to our meeting were providential. While I was there, I tried to share Jesus with P’Hom through my words and actions. She expressed disillusionment and dissatisfaction with her life and wanted something more. I prayed she would come to know Jesus as her Savior before I returned to the States, but that didn’t happen. We emailed consistently for a while, but then our communication slowly dropped off. In her last email, she asked me to find an American husband for her so her life wouldn’t be so hard.

I was so happy to receive this most recent email from P’Hom. She said she had started an English school in Surin, and she seemed to be doing quite well. I emailed back to her that Robbie and I are coming to Surin to work, and I am looking forward to seeing her again.

I am so excited to be reconnected with this sweet woman, and I am praying she will someday soon decide to follow Jesus and see how He can truly make a difference in her life.

Please pray for P’Hom and all the people in Surin who are waiting to know Jesus personally.
