When visiting Papua New Guinea or while living in Cambodia, many times I would lie praying for wind to blow at night so we could rest. As soon as I would hear the rustling of the palm branches or the moving amongst the tall grass I would send a thank you to the Lord before even feeling its cooling caress.

“Like the wind, which is invisible – yet the effects of which are plainly seen and felt – is the baptism of the Spirit of God upon the heart, revealing itself in every action of him who experiences its saving power”(Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 2, p. 130, Ellen White).

Today, I find myself praying for a different wind to blow, for the Holy Spirit to revive hearts and reform lives amongst God’s people worldwide.

“The Spirit of God is appealing to men, presenting to them their moral obligation to love and serve Him with heart, might, mind and strength, and to love their neighbors as themselves” (The Present Truth, April 16, 1896, Ellen White).

As I listen closely in conversations with both the reached and unreached, I hear the workings of the Holy Spirit like a noise of “rustling grass and swaying branches.” He is moving on people’s hearts and they are responding!

“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me” (Matthew 25:40).

Keep praying, brothers and sisters. Jesus is coming very soon!
