Remembering Furlough

Furlough is always a time to meet lots of people. Some of you I don’t know very well—perhaps we met at a camp meeting. Others are longtime friends. Still others of you I have known in years past, and we get to catch up on each other’s lives. Finally, there are those of you I know only by name—faithful partners who have supported the Otammari Project for many years, but whom I may never have gotten to meet. I am always very pleased to meet you. We thank you for your support, both financially and with your many prayers.

On furlough, we also get to travel a lot and spend some time with our fellow laborers from other countries and in other ministries. Sometimes we sleep in a different bed every few nights, adapting to our various host homes and a wide variety of foods, even as we try to keep a bit of routine in the midst of constant change. Furlough is fun, tiring, interesting, and a time of wonderful fellowship. But when furlough is over, it is always good to be home in Benin and resettled again.

Thank you for your support. May God richly bless you!
