Jacob was in an apprenticeship to become an auto mechanic. He worked where we usually get our truck serviced. He and another friend of ours asked if we could read the Bible together. Every third week, Jacob was watchman at the garage where he worked, so he had lots of time to read. I asked him if he wanted to do Bible studies. He was excited and agreed. So every three weeks at 8:30 P.M. we would study at the garage. Jacob read in Baribaa and the other friend would slowly read in French. It took a long time, but God richly blessed each study.
Time passed, and we kept studying. Then Jacob was fired from his job for refusing his boss’ orders to beat some of the younger workers. He has decided to go three hours south to Parakou to see if his aunt can put him up while he finishes his studies. He is very excited about God and is eager to continue his Bible studies with some believers I referred him to in Parakou. Last week, he came and asked me if we could study again one last time before he leaves. So we had our last study here.
Please pray for Jacob that he will fully understand the truth and then step out in faith and follow it.
