Thanks to All

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters, friends and the AFM administration for their spiritual, financial and physical support for our trip to the United States. We arrived safely at O’Hare airport in Chicago on June 30 in good health. Our field director and his wife were there to receive us. All our doubts and fears were taken care of by our faithful Father and Friend, Jesus Christ.

We had felt God’s presence with us during our visa interview. After the interview, the consul told me to return for our passports on Friday the 24th of June, which I did, only to find they weren’t ready. I made another appointment to pick them up the following Monday.

I had felt confident that God would make a way for us to get our visa, but doubts began to creep into my mind. Knowing this was wrong, I asked God to forgive my doubts and fears, and I surrendered everything to His care. I spoke to Him as a friend with a friend. I said, “You have brought us thus far. I know I am not worthy of any of Your blessings. Please forgive me and take us from Conakry to Michigan the way You want to and when You want to. Amen.” Thirty minutes later, my AFM field director called me and told me he was on the phone with the office of the consul and that I should not worry. The embassy would finish with our passports on Tuesday afternoon the 28th, and we would fly on the 29th.

Dear readers, we have a God who cannot be manipulated or appeased with sacrifices and works. He has no pleasure in these things. All He wants from us is our loving faith and obedience. Jesus said that if we have faith like a grain of mustard seed, we can move mountains.

Once again, my family and I thank you all for your respective contributions toward our coming to the United States. The prayers of the righteous prevail. God bless you.
