The Move

I’ll never forget the day we moved into our cabin home. The air was crisp and fragrant with spring. The birds and insects were alive with joy. All nature seemed to rejoice with us. After months of planning and preparing, we were finally on our way to our new mission adventure! Our hearts thrilled as we realized that our dream was becoming a reality. Our greatest joy came from knowing that God had very definitely been leading and guiding every step of the way. We saw miracle after miracle and knew that He had a special purpose for us. Our time in the cabin was a wonderful wilderness experience and ultimately the beginning of our present mission journey.

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland” (Is. 49:13).

By the time you read this, we will be in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I am filled with a familiar joy and anticipation. We are on our way to a new adventure! Again, we have seen many answered prayers and miracles and are so excited to be a part of God’s work in Cambodia.

We realize the road will not be easy. We are entering Satan’s territory and have already tasted of his anger. We have had an unprecedented number of accidents recently with many broken bones and stitches to go around. My sister joked that the ER should give us our own room! Through it all, God has given us peace, and we are thankful that no one was hurt more seriously. God is showing us that He will be our protector in Cambodia. Please pray for us as we make this transition to our new home.
