The Next Generation

“It’s so good to meet Sean and Brenda in person,” said an AFM donor after hearing Sean present the mission story at our local church. “Their girls were such an inspiration to my children. Reading about the work their daughters did with the Roma children when they were just teenagers was something that really captured the imagination of my son and daughter. Keeping up with what other children and young people were doing in the mission field caused my children to reach for the Adventist Frontiers magazine each month. Rebecca and Chelcie Coleman were two others who made an impression on my family.”

Sean and Brenda were visiting us in the UK for a meeting at the Trans-European Division and to help us plan for the Euro-Asia missionary retreat that will be held in May. It was such an encouragement for them to hear from this lady and to know that the work of their girls had impacted other teens.

Their oldest daughter, who married another AFM missionary kid, is now preparing to go to the Balkans to begin a new project. We are keen to see them launch as soon as possible and join the expanding number of individuals committed to sharing the Gospel in the territory we supervise. But this is a team effort, and they need others to partner with them. It has always been AFM’s hope and prayer that the children of past and current missionaries will become the next generation of cross-cultural missionaries, continuing the work of reaching the unreached with the good news of the Gospel. Viktor and Sara Basha have taken up the challenge. Will you partner with them?

I was saddened to hear of the p*****ing away of your father. I pray that you will find comfort in the hope of heaven and in God’s care for you each day.
