When we started working among the Susu people ten years ago, we were having worships in our homes. It was the Coleman family and our family—eight of us—four adults and four children. Back then, we could not have imagined the kind of growth our little group is presently experiencing. For the first five years, we rented two houses for our Sabbath meetings. God answered our prayers, and we now have property with a church building and a school with more than 200 students.

Our growing church group has attracted young people who are zealous to spread the three angels’ messages. We are now mentoring some of these young believers to be missionaries to their own people group. Our vision is to see the Susu Project plant not only daughter churches but also to be a source of blessing to surrounding people groups. Ellen White said in her book Gospel Workers, “One soul won to Christ, will be instrumental in winning others, and there will be an ever-increasing result of blessing and salvation” (p. 184). This will bring us to new levels in the work in this part of God’s vineyard.

We are praying that the Lord will provide funds for us to build a training center and to give us wisdom as we prepare training materials. As we pray, we move ahead one day at a time in bringing this vision to reality. “For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work . . . will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” (Phil. 1:6 NET).

Presently, we are fully engaged in preparing training materials and mentoring young disciples for Christ. We meet with them twice a week. During these meetings, we pray and fast with them for God to lead and to provide for the work He has called them to do. God has been tremendously blessing these families. They testify that they are very sure of their calling. Every day, they experience life-changing moments with God. We are amazed at how God is preparing them for His work.

By the middle of next year, we are going to be fully engaged in training three young couples. These families will be an experiment. We will send two of the families to plant daughter churches in our area. The other family will go out to another people group to plant churches. I am optimistic that in four to five years we will be counting daughter and granddaughter churches in Guinea.
