Today I was reading a children’s book to my girls about the American civil rights movement. My eight-year-old had a hard time understanding segregation. In her mind it made no sense, so I had to explain to her that sin has brought injustice, pain and sorrow to the world. God’s plan for our lives is so different from what the world has been like and how it currently is.
As I kept reading the book to my girls, I couldn’t help getting choked up and teary eyed. History is filled with so much pain, yet at the same time so much inspiration from those who chose to stand up and make a difference. God needs a generation of people who will stand up against the bondage of sin and will preach the gospel of freedom in Jesus Christ.
The book tells about a family that moved from the safety and comfort of New York down to the South so they could help bring unity and equality. God has called my family to move to Ireland to bring a message of salvation. Please pray for us as we continue on this journey.
