Who Among You Will Give Ear?

This past January, the president of the Sahel Union, Guy F. Roger, visited the Mission Station in Guinea, West Africa. He also visited the Susu Project site to evaluate what AFM is doing in Guinea.

Our lay worker, Brother George, gave Pastor Roger a tour of the church, the school and the construction for the school. The children gave him a warm welcome. He was very impressed by the work AFM is doing among the Susu of Guinea.

Concerning this visit, the president of the Mission Station in Guinea wrote, “As a matter of fact, Pastor Roger’s visit to Fria was a great blessing not only for Fria, but also for the Mission at large in Guinea. Seeing things for himself, he was really impressed by what God is doing through you. He made some promises, and I trust he will fulfill them. Next year, he and his wife, the education director for the Union, will return, and she will provide special training for the teachers and attend to other needs.”

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing positive results from your investments. For the past 10 years, you have been spending your time praying and your money supporting the work among the Susu in Guinea, West Africa. God knows how hard you’ve worked for your money and the sacrifices you make each time you give in support to the project. He also heard your faithful prayers on behalf of the Susu people. According to the Church’s standards, our little flock has reached church status. The local mission has started conducting seminars on church leadership.

The next phase of the Susu Project is to develop Bible-study materials that challenge Susu people and answer their worldview questions. We will be training local believers to reach their own people with the Bible study materials we will be developing.

We have completed our launching goal, thanks to you all. We are near the completion of our monthly goal. At this point, we still need $822 in monthly pledges to complete our monthly goal. If one person pledges $500, another pledges $100, two more pledge $50, and an additional five pledge $25, then we will meet our monthly goal. Please send your pledge using the envelope in the center of this magazine.

Time is against us. Our visas expire in June, and our departure date is June 10, 2012.

“But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivers; for a spoil, and none says, Restore. Who among you will give ear to this? Who will hearken and hear for the time to come?” (Isa. 42:22, 23). We have answered this call, but we can’t do it alone. We want your crown in heaven to be decorated with Susu stars. Please help us take the hope, life, restoration, transformation, freedom and salvation of the Gospel to the Susu.
