Our names are Joshua and Kaleb, and we are brothers. We are still small, but we have already seen how God answers prayers. Here are some of our stories.
Joshua:
One time, we went for a walk very far from home. Suddenly a big storm came, and we ran to hide under a tree. We were a bit scared. Kaleb said, “Let’s pray.” So, we prayed. Right after we prayed, the storm stopped. It only started again after we got home.
When I was two, we were at Helderberg College, where my daddy studied. Mommy said we had no money for diapers. One night, we ran out, and my cloth diapers were all wet. My mom made me a diaper from one of my dad’s old shirts. I was crying a lot, and I prayed that God would help us. Just after we went to bed, my mom saw that someone had sent R250 ($15 USD) to her phone—right at the time we were praying. It was just enough to buy diapers.
Kaleb:
When we were about to go to camp meeting this year, the trailer would not hook up to the car. My dad tried and tried and got very tired. Then I said we should pray. I prayed, and on the very next try, it worked perfectly.
Joshua:
We also had a nice neighbor, Uncle Martin. I wanted to give him something. My mom helped me make a small gift: fruit, a letter, and a USB containing the Total Onslaught sermon series by Walter Veith. I waited for Uncle Martin and then ran to give it to him. After that, we prayed for him. Now he is reading the Great Controversy, which my dad later gave him. He has a big smile every time he sees me.
We are still praying for a family member who does not really know God. I gave him my old God Pod. We listened to the Bible together in bed, and we still do sometimes. Please pray with us for him.
We are happy because God hears children, too. We hope our stories help you trust Him.
