With God, All Things are Possible

It all began on June 30, 2007, when I asked my girlfriend Marguerite to marry me. At that time, I was in the twelfth grade, and she was in the tenth grade. We started marriage counseling with our spiritual father, Pastor Marc Coleman.

I passed my national High School exams in 2008. After two years of teaching practice in our school, I got a scholarship to study theology in Cameroon, thanks to the Coleman family. After two years of studies, I came home to marry Marguerite on July 8, 2012, with Pastor Coleman officiating. Then, with Marguerite, I went back to finish my studies and prepare to serve our Lord in Guinea for the rest of our lives.

A week after our wedding, Marguerite went to the hospital to visit a gynecologist. When the doctor told her that it was impossible for her to have children, she was devastated. When she told me the result, I said to her, “The God who allowed us to marry in His time will also give us child.” So we went to our knees and put everything in God’s hands.

Wherever man stops, that is where our God starts. A few weeks later, my wife visited the health center because she was feeling uncomfortable, and the nurse discovered that she was pregnant! Marguerite returned to the house in great excitement. When she told me the news, we both wept for joy. Then we went down on our knees and thanked God the Creator.

A month later, my wife visited the gynecologist who had told her she could never become pregnant. When the doctor checked her again, she exclaimed, “Is that you? How did you do it?”

Knowing the doctor was a Muslim, Marguerite told her, “We serve a living God. He is capable of anything. My husband and I cried out to Him, and He has answered us. You should try Him, too.”

During the seventh month of Marguerite’s pregnancy, she returned to the hospital for an ultrasound. The baby was not in the right position, so the birth would have to be cesarean. At home, again we went to our knees to ask for divine intervention. Two weeks later, we went for another ultrasound, and the baby had not changed position. Undiscouraged, we persevered in prayer.

On April 28th my wife gave natural birth to a big boy. God’s plans for His people are always the best. “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil. 4:6).

Today, we are a happy family, and we thank you for your prayers. By the time you read this article, we will be in Cameroon where I will be completing my degree in theology.
